The Jumping Flea exhibit features a dozen local artists who celebrate the art of ukulele in a benefit for the Ukulele Foundation of Hawaii. This mixed media show asked the participants to use an ukulele kit as their fundamental material.

The unfinished wood kit is an easy-to-assemble body, neck and strings for a soprano size instrument. Among the participating artists are Maile Yawata, Roy Venters, Kandi Everett, and Heather Brown ("Sea Siren" on the front page).

Opening Reception
April 1, 2009
Wednesday, 6-8 pm
Chinatown Boardroom
1160 Nuuanu Avenue

The show runs through April 25.
