| Lost: The Sun |

Last seen at The Canyons in Park City hanging out with Snow Partly cloudy. Again. That's been the island weather for the past two months it seems. It's been so dreary, forecasters even stopped saying "partly sunny." Suffering from seasonal affective disorder? Maybe it's time to head to the mountains. We decided to check out "the greatest snow in the world" in Utah. Arriving on a snowy Monday, we found our way to The Canyons, Utah's largest ski/snowboard resort. If you've ever been to Park City, you know it's not cheap, so we appreciated their "Ski Free with Breakfast" offer: 2 lift tickets and 2 full breakfasts for each night you book with slopeside accommodations starting at $97 per person. Pretty good considering a full-day adult lift ticket is $81. ![]() We woke up Tuesday morning to find 14" of fresh snow on the ground. As if the promise of uncrowded powder runs wasn't enough, the sun pushed away the clouds, unveiling a brilliant blue sky that Hawaii hasn't seen in a while. And it stayed like that the rest of the week. Anyway, for those who were wondering, the sun is alive and well, clearly enjoying the greatest snow on earth. We hope it will come home soon. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
