Had enough chop steak and fried rice to go with your drinks? At thirtyninehotel, partner Gelareh Khoie got out her family recipe for Persian-style kebabs to create the most delicious happy hour in town. Fashion designer and skilled cook Zana Tsutakawa helms the grill 5 to 8 pm, Tuesday through Friday, turning out mad tender filet mignon, catch of the day (opah on a recent Thursday night) and portobello mushroom, artfully arranged on a plate with Persian flatbread (flown in from L.A.), served with a yogurt-cucumber-dill sauce and a tousle of fresh herbs such as mint and cilantro. It's the perfect light supper.—Flavor Duck
